Volunteering
Each family is required to volunteer six hours of time that will benefit Spring Lake Park Baseball Association.  Each family must submit a volunteer check for $150 during the Registration in Jan/Feb timeframe.  This check will be destroyed at the end of the season if six hours of volunteer time has been fulfilled.  The check will be cashed if the family does not fulfill the six hours of volunteer time.   

Importance of Volunteering

We want to continue to provide a safe and competitive environment for our kids, which would require some equipment upgrades and some minor field improvements.  So in an effort to keep our registration costs down, the board has decided to put in place a volunteer program.

2021 Season – SLPBA will ask each player/family to be responsible for six hours of volunteer service.  This is per family, so multiple youth families will only be required for six hours of volunteering.  Head Coaches and 3 assistants (or 2 assistants and a manager) are exempt from volunteering. 

volunteer fee options:
$150.00 -  Check will be returned or destroyed after completing their assigned service.
$150.00 – Buy out, check will be cashed in the spring after registration to pay for workers

Areas for volunteering include:

-  Field maintenance

-  Coaching (Head Coach and Three Assistant Coaches Per Team or Two Assistants and 1 Manager)

-  Spring and Fall clean-up day 

-  Tournament opportunities

-  Registration night assistance

-  Tryout weekend assistance

 - Committees (Fundraising and Sponsorship Committee)

Volunteer hours must be completed by the end of the 2021 baseball season.
